We originally saved 3 feral 7-wk-olds....one (Buffer) tamed up almost immediately & has since been adopted, but the other two (Pip & Izze) have been much slower to tame & not a single bit of interest in them. We've had them inside working w/them now for almost 6 weeks-& both will climb on our laps for food, & run right up to us. Pip will tolerate pets while eating, but not otherwise. He will curl up on my leg ( on his terms) to nap & sit beside me. Izze, when in the mood, will actually enjoy being petted, scratched under the chin, curls up next to me to sleep, & even be held & scratched (briefly-when SHE wants ). But the few people who have come over- they scatter & won't come near. We try to expose them to people-but doesn't seem to help. I'm a graphic designer, so did a professional flyer-not a single bite!!!! We've emailed to hundreds of people. One no-kill shelter said thatd consider putting them in -maybe-but I feel like its a death sentence for them. I've never not been able to place kittens-& certainly never had this thought (I'm sobbing as I write)----we absolutely can't keep them-do we have a choice but to euthanize them if I continue to exhaust everything? My heart is breaking!!!! They're sweet, clean cats---just not lap cats like everyone wants. HELP!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!! Thanks-any suggestions
