Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I wasn't creeped out at all until I looked at the id website and saw its eyes. Oh. my. goodness. That is scary.

I did not know that any bugs were carnivores.

I looked this genus and specis up in my North American Insect book-it is not listed!!!!! The upper midwest is usually to cold for many species (plus no fig trees!!) But it has given me goosebumps!!

DEAR LORD, that thing is a carnivore! Anne you are so sweet to rehome it, but that bug is the stuff of my nightmares. Bless you for what you do, I would have been far less kind.

EWWWWWW! I would have screamed my head off if that thing hopped or crawled out in front of me! Is it some kind of loctus maybe? I have no clue what it is. Sorry I'm not much help. I'm glad it's getting rehomed with someone who loves bugs- sounds like a good place for the little guy!
