Monday and Tuesday featured highs of 110. Right now, at 5:00 p.m., it is 106. Since we have virtually no humidity, it actually bearable.
Bill tops off the dogs' 4-gal water pail, at 6:00 a.m., each morning. When I get home, at 3, they have sucked it dry. Today, I bought them a second one. I also run a patio mister for them. We can't leave them inside, during the day - they and Rowdy would destroy the place.
Our evaporative cooler is on high, as is every ceiling fan in the house. The cats are sprawled, each with his/her own fan.
One learns to move as little as possible, dress lightly and sleep naked. People who live in the Sonoran Desert are tough!
