CarolPetunia AMAZINGLY GOOD IDEA!

I really can get behind this.

No. Va, willing to foster kittens 5 to 12 wks.
someone else would have to take over to place
at that point, that's the huge problem that i have.

I am overwhelmed with caring for cats, so I've no
time for placing, not to mention easy access to
a Petsmart Adoption Clinic...you have to have a group
behind you to do that.

Anythoughts or suggestions on how to get that off
the ground would be great.

So would help getting an FIV+ SHOWING site, where
these wonderful cats could be shown to the public
and the public could be educated about the misconceptions
they have of the disease. NO reason these cat's should
not have the same adoptablity that others have?

But this is a great idea for the smaller one or
two rescues per year person - help with the fostering.

Right now, our Humane Society is struggling to
find fosters. The problem? IMHO they take
forever to approve, are VERY VERY strict (overly
so IMHO) and they turn people away who would
do only 1 or 2 litters a year.

They want "year round"
committment. IMHO this means folks who would
help out don't due to lack of time... but they COULD
be very valuable resources....

Thoughts anyone?

General area where you live: About 50 miles NW of Phoenix, AZ

What things you would be willing to do to help a cat rescue: Short-term foster: prefer pregnant cats or nursing mother with kittens.
Transport: getting kitties to the vet, or as part of a long-distance relay.

Are you willing to travel and if so, how far?: 200-250 miles, need to be able to make the round trip in less than a day.

Any other thoughts about rescuing or any limitations: I can't take bottle babies. I work a 12+ hour shift and am sometimes away from home as long as 15 hours.

What things you would be willing to do to help a cat rescue:
Transport
Pick up cats from bad situations
Access to low cost spay/neuter
Anything else you might need, it depends on the time of year and my current commitments since I do animal rescue regularly

Are you willing to travel and if so, how far?: Yes, willing to travel anywhere else within an hour, approximately of my house (near O'Hare).

Any other thoughts about rescuing or any limitations: I am somewhat overcommitted right now (kitten season!) but I might know people who can help.

Now that I'm done with school I wil post my information here:

General area where you live: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

What things you would be willing to do to help a cat rescue:
Transportation
Shoping for supplies
Showing cats once in a while
Taking cats to Vet (as long as the cost is covered by the rescue)

Are you willing to travel and if so, how far?:Yes, it depends on what is going on in my own life, but I would be willing to give up a Saturday every now & then to transport an animal.

Any other thoughts about rescuing or any limitations: I already volunteer at one shelter, so time is tight but I am willing to do transportation.
