as long as we had it in football season

But thinking more seriously, it would be a good idea to choose one of the 'major' airports, JFK, Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago, LAX etc

Vegas wouldn't be a bad place to do it. Its like the convention capital of the US.

Regardless, I would TRY to come, but it would depend on getting time off and what airfare was like if its necessary.

I would love to try! But it couldnt be to far away. And it would have to be sometime after Lava Girl was born and I recovered.

Las Vegas is a GREAT idea. My hubby would love it if I had something to do while we were in Vegas.

I'd love to go to Vegas! There's a Star Treck bar there that has a drink called the Warp Core Breach. For some reason, I've always wanted to try that. I don't think I'll have too much trouble talking Jan into going there with me!

We could try to cut a deal at the Luxor (the hotel shaped like a giant pyramid). It's usually reasonable because its at the end of the Strip, but its nice.

Plus the Egyptians did worship cats. What better place to have it?

We can make it planned for 2008 to give everyone time to save up and get ready. Like Spring or fall so the weather isn't so insanely hot. I like the idea of Vegas.

seriously, Vegas will probably have the least expensive airfare for the most people - accomodations, too. they plan it that way, expecting to get your money from the gambling. most major cities have charter flights at really good prices non-stop to vegas [former travel agent here].
