And we need a few "Santa's Helpers" to act like messengers between giver and recipient since everything is to be kept secret until revelation time.

Coordinating or being a Santa Helper is fine by me.

Pm me, if you want me as a leader

Now look Missy. Don't you steal my thunder!!

I think if you and I were coordinators we'd spend our whole time posting stupid photos of ourselves on here!! Dressed up as elves, no doubt...

Well last year's gnome was shipped in October, and didn't make it until after Christmas, so the sooner the better.

I wonder what will be this year's "gnome" ?

Karen, how long did it take for Danielle to get her presents? I'm thinking last year the deadline was Sept 30, and then Deb let us know around October 1? So there's plenty of time to send the things. Australia is the farthest, I think.

Don't forget that if you "coordinate" it, you can't be "in" it. The mods do a SS of their own, so a mod should coordinate it for us, I think. And there there are the "Snooping Santas"!!! That was fun.

Like i said, i dont mind coordinating it.

If I dont get to participate I might just exchange a gift with someone openly, like I did with Sarah (Sar) 2 years ago, because I was too late to participate

Just as an FYI, the moderators will be doing the "official" coordinating, since this is an officially sanctioned TCS event.
(That's also for liability purposes since the coordinator collects personal contact information from everyone.) However, I think the Santa's Snoopers last year was a GREAT idea, and I definitely think that if people are willing to do that this year it would be fabulous.

Also, the moderators can and do participate in the board's SS exchange. We'll discuss that, but it only spoils one little bit of the surprise in that the coordinator knows who they will get the package from, but not what it is.
