If you have a heavy newspaper, you can spread some of the oil on that and line the bottom just covering the trip plate. Might tape it down if it is stormy, though. Also secure the bowl in that case.Originally Posted by ifoster
Thank you. I am putting it in her favorite bushes whre she lays. I was going to put some tuna in it, will that be good?
As long as there's a food source, she'll stick around. You need to get her in to the vet ASAP, though, because she's old enough to be pregnant already.Originally Posted by ifoster
I wasn't able to get a trap and she left last night. Weathermen were crying wolf, as usual. She is back this morning though so I am going to go over there and pick her up.
Is there a trap available to use today ? If not, have a pillow case open and ready when picking her up. Put it over her head and then body so she cannot scratch and then put her inside a crate.Originally Posted by ifoster

Yeah I dont think she is pregnat but if she were to be or get that way, she would die giving birth. Just another reason I need to get her inside.Originally Posted by strange_wings

Yeah I kow in other areas of the midwest and even my state there were tornadoes and big hail but here, we got, litterally, 2 minutes of rain-light rain-and that was it. The weathermen got everybody scared and everreacting and we get 2 minutes of rain, not for the first time eighther.Originally Posted by strange_wings
I'm not sure where you are, but the line of storms that blew through the midwest yesterday were serious. At least in my state there was baseball to softball sized hail and tornadoes.
Well you'll be waiting a long time to "fatten her up" a cat that is desperately ill. So get her checked for worm infestations as well as Feline leukemia virus and other parasites. I doubt you'll find a reputable vet who will do a spay in her present condition.Originally Posted by ifoster
Thanks LDG for your all our replies. I forgot to mention that my grandmother will be moving in in 1 or 2 months.
Well, as your grandmother is moving, will they let you keep her outside until you can find a home for her? Would they let you foster her inside, in your room, on the condition that you ACTIVELY search for a home for her? Perhaps talk to them about providing them a report every three days on what you've done to find her a home? Who you e-mailed, where you put up posters - if you've never designed a flyer before, this would be a good learning project... ????Originally Posted by elayman
