I'm sorry. If she has milk and you are interested, you can call shelters and ask if they have orphaned kittens who need a mom to nurse. You and your cat can foster the kittens.

There are so many shelters needing help this time of year.

I'm so sorry about that. At least you must feel a little better knowing she has been checked over by a vet.

If she has milk I think Sarthur2 Sarthur2 suggestion is a great one. She could help some poor little orphans get the best start in life.

Yes! They had been bottle fed with homemade goat formula. It appears they have each nursed!

This is wonderful! Just what mom and babies needed. :)

Be advised the babies will need out of that box soon to explore a room. They are ready between 3 and 4 weeks, but will continue to nurse mom for several more weeks.

That's wonderful news.

:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

They look so happy together. I'm glad that something good came of this.

The kittens went to the vet before we got them, and were prescribed eye drops. They didn't seem to be helping, but now it's gotten worse and it seems to be contagious.
I'm cleaning them with warm cotton balls, but they look so sore. I'm currently waiting for a call back from the vet. Any ideas, or Anything else I can do?

That's all you can do for now. I hope you hear from the vet soon.

The vet may put them on oral antibiotics. He may also give you terramycin ointment for their eyes.

Poor babies!

Keep us posted!

Gunky eyes are very common in kittens. Keep using the eye drops, even if they don't seem to be doing any good. They can take a few days before they start working. Cold black tea on cotton balls can help too.

Let us know what the vet says.
