Thank Colleen, I'd be happy to answer (you went easy on me
)
1. What grade/ subject do you teach? Why did you choose that particular grade and/or subject?
I am in my second year of teaching. I currently teach Kindergarten. The grade basically chose me.
I have wanted to teach elementary school kids ever since I was 15 but when I went job searching a position in Kindergarten was all that was open. So far I really love it. I get to teach kids how to read, which is one of the most amazing gifts I think you can give a child.
2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
I have one little sis. She is still in HS and turned 16 years old a few months ago. She is an avid golfer and is the 'celebrity' of the family. Her ultimate goal in life is to play for the LPGA. I hardly see her cause she's always on travel for all her tournaments and practices.
3. What is your favorite Washington D.C. monument?
I would have to say my favorite monument is the Washinton Monument. I have been up to the top once, and the view of the city is AMAZING!
4. What is your favorite Washington D.C. museum? (Hirshorn, Air & Space, etc.)
My favorite museum hands down is the natural history museum. I love science (especially geology) and there are just so many wonderful things to see there!
5. Where did you get Ebony? What made you decide to choose her?
We adopted Ebony from the local shelter. I begged Brendan for months and months to let me/us adopt a kitten (he didn't really want one at the time) and finally I convinced him to come to the shelter with me. Brendan grew up with cats his whole life so he knew he would not be leaving the shelter without adopting one.
Brendan picked Ebony. I didn't want him to resent me for begging so long so I said to him "I will take any cat I just want it to be one you will love too" And Ebony is now our little girl. I think Brendan chose her because she just looked so sad in her cage and he wanted to give her a good home. She had been through a lot in her 10 week life. When we adopted her she had stitches in her neck from an attack when she was feral/stray. Poor thing was found all alone and hurt at like 4 weeks. But she's home with us now and is a spoiled brat, so hopefully she's put all of that behind her.
Thanks for the questions, I really enjoyed answering them!
