I finally got Spike in to another animal clinic yesterday. I've been wanting to try out a specific animal hospital for almost a year I think, but they weren't accepting new patients. But yesterday, I called again, just to see if there was a slot open (and because Spike has an eye infection), and they have a new vet, which means they have openings for new patients!
Anyway, I went to the appointment at 5pm yesterday, and my gosh, these people are SO nice. Even the receptionist was asking all about Spike before and after being seen by the doctor. And both the attending nurse and doctor talked to him, as well as let me ask questions without rushing me! And Spike's doctor even brought in the other doctor at the clinic to make sure she was diagnosing him correctly. I felt as if I was on a different planet. OH! And his new vet actually said to keep her posted on his eye. And that sometimes she gets backed up on FOLLOW-UP CALLS to check on her patients. I just stood there confused, with my mouth slightly opened. Follow-up call? Pardon? What is that??? I never recieved one of those from his last vet. Must be something foreign.
Anyway, so far I'm quite pleased with them. I've never been this excited about having to drag Spike to the vet's.
