I will try but I should only be allowed in the show hall for about 1-2 hours by myself after the show! Because I'm judging on the Sunday, cannot go in the show hall on Saturday

I just got back from the big 8 ring show here in NZ. The competition was fierce!

My girls didn't make any top tens. Fluffy got 3 Best Eye Colour awards and Tales got a Breeders Award of Merit - so that's 2 for her already! Tales also got a 4th Best Exotic in that ring and there were 11 Exotics against her. So that wasn't bad for her second show.

My Nana's kitten Twinkle also got a 4th best Exotic

Our next show is in 2 weeks time!

BTW, I got a heap of pictures as usual - will upload some to this thread later.

I can wait to see the pictures.
Were there any sphynx there?
You must be showing May 9th the day I show Cleo again.
I will be using a table cloth or blanket to go under the show shelter.
I hope you had fun.

Any Oci/Classicats?
Thank you! Unfortunately since we were both working all day (I was judging too) we are unsure of how they did in their breed classes with the exception of the two 4th placings. They didn't print them on their prize cards past 3rd place, so they may have picked up some more!

There weren't any Oci/Classi's at the show. I stewarded a full Shorthair ring on the Saturday for Fiona Cooper and there weren't any, unfortunately but the show was in Ashburton.

Yes there were a lot of Sphynx - I believe there were 7!
Thanks yes I did have fun. I took a look at the pictures, they are quite good. I didn't get many though since I was judging!

Here are the promised photos - I didn't get many because I was very busy. My next 3 shows will be "lazy" however as I will not be judging/working

Here's Fluffy on the drive down to Ashburton. We had a flight and then drove down, she loves sitting up in the car.

Fluffy exploring the motel [We keep them penned at the motel, but she's just stretching her legs here]

A bengal kitten owned by a friend, for sale at the show

I love this pic it reminds me of Puss N Boots

The shows here in New Zealand are very different to the US. The cats stay in their own cage all day and the judge comes to their area and judges - it's not until the end of the day we are allowed to put them together. My girls love hanging out together!

Sunday afternoon - lots of kitty families

My sleepy girls

Here is Fluffy & Tale's aunty, Pillow Talk

Fluffy looking at toilet paper (Just a cute one for fun!
)

Hope you enjoyed the pics!
Thanks for looking.

I can not wait to see them.
My mentor is making the part that goes under the show shelter.
It will match the bed and the flat things that go on the bottom inside.
She is also making a blanket with the brest cancer ribbons on it.
There is something else but she will not tell me what it is.
I did not even have cats when I was 2 lol.
We had dogs

We had dogs too! I love dogs just as much as cats!

Cool I can't wait to see yours either. Mine are and here's a quote from her email:

"They are double layer French White organza and have three rows of a sheer blue silver ribbon on them that has glitter and sparkles on them which I have sewn reverse against the fabric to get better effect and longevity"

Don't you think Tales will look gorgeous on them?

They sound nice.
Tales will look great them.
Diana said she will try to have Cleos stuff finished before the next show.
I wish I knew more about showing then I do.
I know alot more then I did a few months ago though.
We had our first cat when I was 11.
I have always had cats since then.
I want a dog but my husband said no.
He did say yes to another sphynx though and he is a dog lover lol.

The next show for me is May 10th - I'm not judging again until June!

You are lucky Cleo likes baths. Fluffy likes them more then Tales.

The spyhnx that is being shown in the NI is called "Ima Moult Disney Bare" Do you like that?

That is funny.
I show May 9th.
It is a 6 ring show.
How long does it take to give a Persian a bath?
One good thing about sphynx is you do not have to wait for them to dry.
I will be asking for help to name my next cat if it does not have a name already.
Cleo will not be in the kitten class this time.

So we are pretty much showing the same day then - since you guys are a day behind!

It takes about 25 minutes to do all the wet stuff and bathing and then between 1-2 hours to dry them completely

Yay I love 6 ring shows. I think our next one is just a 4 ring show.

The last show was a 2 day show and it was 8 rings.
People thing sphynx are easy to get ready to show but its not true.
They get very oily.
One ofthe judges is the same as last time.
I think thats the one Cleo hissed at and she told her to shut up.
She was mad at another cat that hissed at her so it was not really at a judge.
These are the flyers.
Its says 10-4 on one and 10-5 on the other.
I wonder which one is right.
We have to be there at 8:30 and stay until 5 or latter no matter what anyway.
I did not know that we have to stay to the ed of the show.
