Please Tell Me I Did The Right Thing

Cheryl, I absolutely understand what you're saying. I know that, by her admitting to me the things she was thinking/doing, she was asking for help. And help and offering the appropriate resources is what I've been doing with her since day 1. She has my phone # and knows she can (and she does!) call me 24/7. We were up until midnight talking last Friday.
But, as Barbara said, I did have the obligation to make the report. I definitely was not 100% sure that she was suicidal, but if I have a suspicion, I have to report because if she DID commit suicide and I did nothing...that would be wrong in every possible way. So I made my decision and made sure that it was very well documented, just in case.
Finally, I am so glad that you've had help Cheryl
It is my wish that everyone who could possibly even consider suicide gets to the available resources for help. There are people in every town, everywhere, who can help
.
