Susie, thank you so much!
I didn't get to read this before I went, but I remembered you saying to think of everyone - and I did. (I also called on The Angels!) It is so horrible when you are scared and the hospitals don't set you at any ease when they can't get it together. I would love to be with you when you need it and vice versa - I will always imagine you are there!

Ashley, Susan and Ryan, thank you!

My appointment was a bit of a disappointment.
I was pleased to not have any more injections, but I am now stuck between a rock and a hard place in terms of where I go from here.

The Specialist said that there was no use using a nerve block as it would not cover the whole of the pain area, plus nerves can grow back but display different sensations. The anaesthesia didn't work well either, so he wouldn't do that again and he said pain killers have too many side effects, so he won't put me on those
So I am to suffer for a bit longer *sigh*

The last resort that he mentioned was a group that I would have to attend to learn to deal with, live and function despite the pain. (he said that he's rather avoid that although he still thinks that I am a little pitiful being housebound for the majority of my time - but I have all you guys!
)

He now wants me to go to the gym and lift heavy weights on my legs to try to build up my quads. (I don't think he realised that i've been trying to do this for the past two and a half years!!) He seems to be expecting a little too much from me! *sigh*

I am now trying a 'Bio Ion' bracelet and going to have some accupuncture (
I'm not sure how well i'll do with the needles, but hey?!)

I'm trying to keep my spirits up - and laughing at myself when I get overtaken, at the shops, by little elderly ladies!
I am SO slow!!

Thank you again for all your love and support, I really appreciate it and couldn't do all this without you!

Awwww Sarah... I'm so sorry to hear that you're not getting any pain relief.
That just really sucks. I don't know what else to say.

Yup, Ryan, you're right there - it does suck!

It just sucks even more because I used to have a great Anti Inflamatory/Painkiller - Vioxx - but it was withdrawn from the market

I'm sure i'll find pain relief somehow!

sending good vibes your way, i have torn cartiledge in both my knees and was told without surgery i wouldn't be able to walk by the time i was 30 i'm 29 and still walking the worst of mine was while i was pregnant all the extra weight was aweful! i saw an herbalist and got a list of herbs that i mix together into a compress (really helps with pain and mobility) part of it consists of squished onions so it doesn't smell great but i would be more than happy to share my list of herbs if you want to try them

I sure hope you do Sarah. Would you settle for a couple of electronic hugs in the meantime? ....................
That's one..............................
That's two.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I'm sorry you're still experiencing so much pain, Sarah. How do you feel your bracelet is working for you? Acupuncture sounds very promising! I really look forward to hearing your thoughts about that! Tibby and Molly are so happy to have their Mommy home with them!
You are in my prayers that you will soon find perfect relief from this pain that has plagued you for so long..
