Beautiful cat. I'm sorry for your loss. I don't think you ever get over the loss of a special kitty. The pain does subside though. Vibes~~~It's almost a year since he passed the end of October .
He's been in my thoughts the past few days , we had a great thirteen and a half years together , everybody who met him fell in love with him , he was just one big buddle of fun and love
I'm not sure what determines how thick a cat's winter coat gets. I guess a large portion of it, is outside temperature. Then again, though my cats are inside only, so maybe it's just a genetic thing. Regardless of temp the coat gets thick... IDK...Ya it is fall here in California. Hot in the day still. It will be fun to see if Whitney gets fluffier though when winter hits with its 70 degree F days and 55 degree F nights. I will post in 2 -3 months. lol.
I put mine out in the snow just to make sure they get fluffy.I'm not sure what determines how thick a cat's winter coat gets. I guess a large portion of it, is outside temperature. Cute photo. My picture didn't upload the first time. Here we go again!
What a beautiful boy!
I know Beans is usually puffiest in February. I can't speak for other cats. My short-hair's coat gets thicker but not enough to really notice.
Wow, pretty kitties.
At what month will cats get their most poffy coats?
My kitty is gaining some coat, but he really shedded badly during summer. I'm a bit worried.
Thanks.
It's always good to brush a cat regularly especially if they are shedding. It helps the coat to turn over faster.
They're very pretty cats (above posts). What type of cat is Carl?
Anyway, I didn't get my cat until last December but I did feel her coat prior to that at the end of October. She had been living outside but between the time I found her and the time I actually adopted her, I didn't notice any changes in the thickness of her coat. This year, however, her coat has gotten much thicker. She's a short hair, so unless you'd seen her before you wouldn't notice that she looks a little puffier. That, and she's put on some weight, that I'm trying to help her shed. In any case, I started noticing it a couple of weeks ago and didn't realize that her coat would get thicker, especially since she's inside all the time. After sitting on my lap the other day, she left quite a bit more hair behind than usual too. The fluffy coat does feel good when you stroke it though.
