Hello, TCS users. I recently adopted a solely indoor cat somewhere around a year and three months old and I was concerned for her disposition. At this point I've had her for a little less than a week but my partner does have two other cats at a family house where we are both supposed to be visiting and from what we know from the previous owners of this cat, Pelhi was born at some point in July and adopted early August on her own and has had no opportunity to socialise since with anything other than humans.
I understand the cats may not mix and to introduce them by scent first etc but I was concerned for how they could be if they do mix given her lack of exposure to other cats. I do have alternative accommodation prepared for Pelhi and myself if they cannot get along but ideally I would also want her to not be alone in our time together and do ideally intend to adopt another cat as time goes on.
As such, my question is when would it be best to find and introduce a partner for her? Of course, after a few more weeks for her to settle being the absolute minimum and naturally I also understand I would be undertaking care of a whole new cat and not just a play mate for Pelhi.
