Ryan, Percy B Shelly wrote it -
the whole thing is:
I am the daughter of Earth and Water,
And the nursling of the Sky;
I pass through the pores of the ocean and shores;
I change, but I cannot die.
For after a rain when with never a stain
The pavilion of Heaven is bare,
And the winds and sunbeams with their convex gleams
Build up the blue dome of air,
I silently laugh at my own cenotaph,
And out of the caverns of rain,
Like a child from the womb, like a ghost from the tomb,
I arise and unbuild it again.
Hey..I am in Michigan....but looking outside tonight at this weather, I sometimes wonder WHYYYYYY. I just KNOW I was REALLY meant to be living in like Phoenix or somewhere like that!
I'm in Indiana, and I would love to move up north. New York, maybe. Or Chicago. It seems like everyone I've ever talked to about living in the Mid-West has wanted to get outta here.
I wonder why that is.
Michiganites - Have you ever been to Hell, Michigan?

It's all quiet where I'm from
Pines stand black in the setting sun
Wind sweeps o'er the sawgrass plains
Hidden men nurse hidden pain.
Red-winged black bird, whipporwill
The planet turns but the World stands still.
The night is alive with a billion stars
And we are the sum of all our scars.
If I can ever get back to the Mid-west, I am never leaving. They dragged me kicking and screaming out of Kansas City 3 years ago, and I miss it every day! Snow, floods and all. I love that there are actually 4 seasons there. Here it is hot, hotter, and 3 months people don't go to the beach.
