New..... Kitten Question

just found this site and hoping I'm
Posting in the right thread

I'm a cat mom of 3,(5,3,1, all rescues) I am about to adopt another kitten from a local foster mom, I fell in love with 2 kittens
I read it's always best to adopt 2 kittens, does that go for a home with cats already?
Is 5 cats to many? We have a very large century home so space is not issue
Just don't know if I should just stick to one kitten or get both??
