I know these get posted a lot but most of the rec foods won't work.
We used to feed 4health but can't really get it anymore.
All Purina causes large stinky poop so I'd rather not feed it.
We can't do big cans of wellness or blue because they cause diarrhea for one cat.

Well...what are your parameters? There are all kinds of cheap foods out there. I'm guessing you want Canned, since you mentioned big cans of Wellness. Are you looking for low carb? Grain free? And what is your dollar limit?

Canned. Ideally less than $1 for a 5.5oz can.
Doesn't have to be low carb or grain free.

I've found that the Dave's line is generally well-liked. If you're willing to shop online.

Hmm, I guess that is a bit over $1 each if you get the 5.5- oz cans. If you get the 12-oz cans it's well within that price range.

How about Authority (Petsmart brand)?

Yes, I just came back from Petsmart and noticed that Authority was just under $1 for the 5.5 oz cans. Iams (not sure who makes them...owned by Mars), Science Diet comes in just at $1 per can if you order on-line, Triumph is way under $1 per can, although if you've got a sensitive tummy guy, you may still issues with many of these. I'm sure there are lots more out there, these just come immediately to mind
