Hi Follow Cat Lovers,
I was crushed to find out that my tiny Dino-kitty has a fast growing tumor in his lung today. He has lost 2 lbs. in the past 1.5 months. His Calcium levels in his blood is very high, and an x-ray showed the mass. I'm crushed and don't know what to do. I do know that I want his quality of life to be good.
Dino's Vitals:
almost 15 years old neutered male, formally ferile
has Heart Disease, hypotropic cardiomyopathy
begininning stages of Kidney Failure.
bad dental history (wired jaw from decay and only 3 teeth)
Vets Options:
Steriods - risk is adverse reaction w/ his heart (this seems like best option, though)
IV Fluids - high risk, and temporary
Chemotherapy - long and painful
Dino is such a sweet sensitive creature. I just want him happy, like he makes me feel : (
Any advice? Please help. Vet says the sooner the course of action, the better his quality of life.
Thanks and regards,
Erin
