I called the lady who wants her again & left a message.
In the event she decides she no longer wants her, I will be euthanizing her.
I've thought long & hard about it, and trust me this is not the decision I wanted to make. I've been dreading thinking about this for weeks & calling her again, but it's really getting to me.
She cannot stay here (she hates cats & dogs....my place is like
for her). As every day drags on she's getting worse about the other cats.
She's 6ish years old. Does well using the litterbox now, but has to have it cleaned 2x a day & will only use a specific kind of litter & litterbox. She's going to be an expensive cat....needing an Rx diet for life, & she will have a shortened lifespan. She doesn't really do kids (she has a tendency to bite them). Her arthritis flares up & she needs to be on meds for that for life. She's got a nasty limp from the lack of having any front toes & walks weird, too.
In 5-6 months now, only 1 person has been interested in her - this lady.
I can't force her to stay here, she'll die in a cage at the shelter (too much stress). She's not adoptable, adoptions are slow in general for everyone, no rescue will take her, and she cannot go back to the shelter.
Bea is why you don't declaw.
