I've been catching up on threads. First I was sad that Mickey left, even though he was going to a good home. I know it doesn't make sense but it makes me sad. I guess I was secretly hoping you would keep him :). I really hope the masses are nothing serious. Sending old vibes his way.

I always thought you'd end up keeping him too. It sounds like a wonderful home you found for him though. My heart dropped when you mentioned the tumors. After going through all this to get healthier and that happens?!! :vibes: for the operation on Monday.

Been reading/stalking this thread for a while, hope the tumors came out ok!

Have you heard anything else or been to visit him after the surgury?

It appears that it takes place tomorrow, thought it already had sorry!

Thanks for all the vibes everyone!

Surgeries are performed "after noon" at the clinic where Mickey is so I expect to hear something soon. All we'll know today is the vets impression from what the tumors look like. They will have to be sent for analysis for us to know what their nature is but the vet will be able to tell a little by just what they look like.

You'll know when I know!

I just got an update. When the vet was putting the IV in he found another lump.

He removed all three but I don't know what his impression of them was.

I'm getting a terrible, sinking feeling.

Okay I understand it takes time to know what the findings are, but we want to know how Mickey is doing!

edit...oh...just saw the newest post. I am not going to cry I am not going to cry, I am going to believe, until I hear different, that these are harmless fatty tumors.

Nuther bit of news. The tumors were encapsulated and so the vet was able to completely (he thinks) remove them.

Charlie is going to try to talk directly to the vet this evening when he picks Mickey up. The above info was from a vet tech.

There is still reason for optimism!

I got an update this morning. During the surgery they found a fourth tumor.
Three were on his left front leg and the fourth on his left shoulder.

Last night Mickey was in a lot of pain even with the pain meds. Charlie says he is doing much better this morning.

Even last night our boy didn't let a little pain keep him from chowing down though!

With the holiday Thurs we might not get the test results until Monday. Lets hope for Wed or Fri at the latest.

Oh yeah, Charlie said the vet staff is in love with Mickey. No surprise there!
