So, as a follow up to threads Here, Here, and Here, this will HOPEFULLY OMG be the end of the road.
We have tried every medicine and food mix we know to do, aside from homecooked, because SURPRISE, we still have no kitchen. It's been three months. Still none. It's fantastic, ask me how I feel about it.
The vet suggested a Fecal Transplant, which is exactly what it sounds like. It apparently has a 90% sucess rate in humans. Here's a video about fecal transplants in cats.
I'm REALLY REALLY hopeful. Nothing else has worked, so I REALLY think this is IBS. And if it's IBS, I REALLY think this could work.
She goes in on Saturday to wait on her donor, Smitty the Office Cat to poop, then they rush the procedure, and she's home. I called the vet to see if we should try even more foods or try this first. I said "Look, if this is $1,000, we need to try some other things first, if it's $200, let's do it."
She said it would be like $50.
Sold.
I'll report back next week!
