Litter Box Changing

I have been emptying about once every two weeks. Wash it out with hot water and refil with clean litter. I scoop once a day--usually in the evening.

I use rubbermaids with a hole cut in the side--because my kitten is a digger and I couldn't imagine paying $15 for a covered box. I am currently using Tidy Cats Blue label but I am wanting to change to Target brand possibly.

I haven't had any issues with the rubbermaids (granted I have only had Jack for four weeks).

Well I have only had my kitten a short time, but I will answer anyway..

1) how often do you dump your litter box and refill with fresh litter?
I haven't dumped mine yet and I have had Puff for about 2 weeks, I imagine I will do it every month


2) what kind of litter box do you use? (rubbermaid, igloo with the top, disposable)
I use the ones with the cover, but I take the top off. I use them because they are high enough my chihuahua can't get into them.

3) dont you wish your litter box could be more clean (i.e. stains on the sides and bottom you see after dumping the litter.)
Don't have that problem...yet.... lol
