Like A Heatwave

Seems like the whole northern hemisphere is engulfed in a heat wave. On Friday July 6, 2018 it got to be 115 F (45 C) here in OC California.

Here’s der Baron von Komfy doing his best to cope.

I know the eastern U.S. just came off a heat wave of its own.

94º F here one day last week. Scottiecat was like a limp, furry dishrag even in the early morning hours - but still wouldn't leave her windowsill.

As the sunlight changed positions, Scottiecat changed windowsills, sucking up the last rays, as Moo Shu - accustomed as she is to the fires of Hell - sprawled on the sunny counter top as if to say, "must lie in sunshine because someone turned off the heats!"

Its nearly 80 here in South Wales which is quite unusual for these parts so what better way to keep cool than cover yourself in leaves and twigs.

It was 95 here in Los Angeles

30 degrees here in England today, which is rare, and the heatwave has been going on for over a month (longest and driest summer since 1976). Ten degrees lower with rain is more like our summers Toffee and Fudge have been soaking up the sun and lounging around in the garden for most of the hot weather.

Things are just miserable here this week. Not so much for me, but the three strays that I care for are suffering the heat along with an awful fleafestation.
