Kitten 13 Weeks Old - Flea & Worm Treatment

Hi,

Please, can someone advise on the best cost effective worming and flea treatment for kittens. They are now 13 weeks old.

I forgot to mention I have been advised that it will cost £65 for the first set course of vaccinations and then to have the booster every year. Is that correct. I was under the impression that worming (every three months) and flea treatment (monthly)needed to be done every month?

Use Advantage II for Kittens for fleas. If the kittens will be indoors only, once they are free of fleas and have been de-wormed, monthly treatment is usually not necessary.

Do you plan to spay and neuter the kittens? Males and females will mate soon if not.

Yes, I was told that I had to wait until they are at least 5/6 months.

You’ll need to separate the males and females quite soon until they are spayed and neutered. Their hormones will begin to come in soon and females can conceive as young as 4 months old. Shocking, I know, but true.
