I spoke to a vet. He said It all sounded normal and it's about 90% chance she's going to be fine. If she still gets up, moves around and isn't straining she should be fine. Which she has been getting up, and she isn't straining she's just getting tired
He also said it'll be over a thousand dollars for an emergency c section and if she hasn't progressed by tomorrow to bring her in.
I just worry about her..
She is still contracting and moved herself to a different box but I can still watch her. The massage definitely made the contractions steonger. And I could feel kittens moving as I rubbed her belly.
I am so relieved that you still felt kitten movement. And I am really glad that the discharge is getting thinner and lighter. I think it's best you called a vet. I feel reassured.
Anytime she'll let you massage her then do it to move things along. I do hope her old hip injury is not a problem. I re-read that part of your thread while waiting.
Yes, I understand. We always want mama kitty to be okay!
If she has no kittens by morning, you should take her to your in-town vet. Ask first for oxytocin to stimulate contractions before they do a c-section. They should know how to get a breech baby out vaginally. Cats do birth healthy breech babies on this forum.
What worries me is that her labor and discharge began 3 days ago and not much is happening.
So let's hope for the best!
If, during the night, she starts pushing and a baby is stuck, you pull on a leg when she pushes to help get the baby out. Never pull by a tail or the head. That's just FYI.
