It doesn't penalise you for not doing them, basically, it sets up how many calories you should eat per day to get to your target weight, and how many calories you need to burn each week. You can do all the exercises on one day if you want (although that much exercise in one day probably isn't as helpful).
It is more about positive life changes, drinking water, reading nutrition labels etc, and some of the stretching/toning exercises you can do at your desk while working.

And there is a small way of cheating I have noticed a lot of people on spark do, they use the conditioning/toning/stretching exercises and put them into their exercise routine at a higher tempo and use it as cardiovascular workouts under circuit training when adding in an exercise bike or just running on the spot etc to the workout - as long as you have an increased heart beat rate for 10 mins or more
