I know you're anxious, but I'm sure all will be fine.
I was too young to remember, but my mom had her thyroid removed. She's never had ANY problems. I called to ask her if she remembers anything about the surgery - she said she only remembers needing a day or two to recover to the point she was up and about - not running around full strength or anything. But she made a big pot of stew before her surgery, and that's what we ate for dinner for three days until she was making dinner again.
all will go well and smoothly. ...and maybe it's better to just get this over with quick!
