She's meowing a lot, but I think it's just because she doesn't want to be in the room we are keeping her in. She has also torn up the paper in her box a bunch, and she was laying in it a few times.

She stops meowing once you go into her room, so I actually don't think that she just wants to get out.

She was also just eating now. Last night, she was grooming her belly and legs a lot as well

You can let her out of the room. Cats are good about going to the nest when it’s time. She doesn’t need the stress of being in the room right now if it’s not yet necessary.

So, I went into her room again, and she was giving birth! The first kitten has been born: a tiny orange one. But, I have some concerns.

The kitten keeps meowing, but everytime it meows, Annie meows back and kinda growls. Is this normal?

She had another just now actually! I think she might be growling at us? My mom and I just left the room just to be safe. Also, none of them have started suckling yet.

The kittens will suckle when mom is done giving birth (or takes a break between deliveries).

Wow! Big litter. You may need to supplement a runt or two. Weigh them daily and keep an eye out. :)

Oh my! An even bigger litter. Do you have supplies on hand for supplementing?

No.. I thought she was only having 2-3 kittens, much less 7. What do we need? Hopefully my parents will be on board...

Also, I'm worried, because everytime the kittens start to meow a bunch, Annie starts to growl. Is this a bad sign that she might reject them?

You’ll need a can of powdered kitten formula and a small 1 or 2 mL syringe. A pharmacy can give you a syringe. Any brand of kitten formula but not Hartz. Pet Ag and Royal Canin are good. Formula is at pet stores, and Walmart usually has The PetAg brand.

Mom needs to drink a dish a day too for the extra calcium while nursing. Seven kittens will drain her so feed her unlimited wet and dry food also.

Did she eat all the placentas?

You’ll need a kitchen scale that weighs in grams to track weights. They should gain 6-10 grams per day or more.

The growling may mean she is still laboring. Has she let them nurse yet?

Yep, they are all nursing right now. I'm pretty sure that she has eaten all the placentas, but I'm not sure about the 7th one. I couldn't see it as well as the others. All the kittens look very healthy though!

I guess I'm VERY surprised that she had 7 kittens. She isn't even a year old yet, and she didn't even look that big! I'm looking forward to taking care of the tiny kitties as they grow!

They will be cute, but a hand full. Do get supplies on hand. :)
