Wow!!

You did it!

I resized it for you, and here he is:

Soon as you figure out how to resize it, I look forward to more

He's cuter that I'd expected, and is really looking great!

He sure is lucky that you found him Becky,

OK, how could you tell what kind of camera I have? Are you psychic? Becky
It's part of the image file you posted.

Technically it's called an EXIF Tag.

I wish I were Psychic

Again, great job Becky...

Well, I wouldn't exactly call him cute. What he has is character. He is still pretty ratty looking up close. His fur is shiny now though and I imagine that when he grows some new fur he will be pretty sleek. And new fur should cover the scars. He looks like someone tried to decapitate him. I can't imagine how he got injured. His ear will always be battered. He won't ever get more teeth. Its a good thing he has personality. He likes to lick me now. His vet really likes him, too. He's a good boy. Becky

He's looking great for a feral rescue, and he has potential to fillout a lot more IMO.

He's definately not a show cat, but he's cute in his own right.

Do keep us posted on his progress

Sorry to disagree - but I think he's SO CUTE! His "rattiness" is what gives him so much character - and that shines through as "cute"!

What a good boy!!!! HE'S PURRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And ferals do sometimes have "problems" with food. Often they can't free feed because they'll eat until they get sick.
This behavior would not be unusual.

Keep some bendy straws on you (sorry if I've already given you this advice). When he bites, blow sharply into his face, and put a straw (sideways) into his mouth.

What a sweetie, sweetie boy he's turning out to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read the whole thread, and even before I read the thread I peeked at the last page and I have to say.....

Lil' Buddy is CUTE!!!! He has the cutest little expressive face, and his little ears just give him personality overload!

You've done an awesome job with this little guy!!!

Oh! Totally forgot to mention. Some cats are climbers - some cats are leapers. Given that he's been outside so long, he might've become a climber - the tree thing.
BUT - it could be arthritis or poor eyesight. Flowerbelle, who has limited vision in one eye, won't jump, even up onto the bed. She'll reach up, grab onto the blanket, and pull herself up. She'll jump onto the first and second level of the cat tree, and she'll pull herself up from there. She will jump down, but again, not far. Might be something to discuss with the vet.

Buddy's vet mentioned that not all cats jump. She said that it is something that they need to learn at a certain age and that if they don't then they may never learn it. But even though she can't feel anything wrong with his hips and he doesn't show any signs of pain in them, she wants to xray to be certain because it certainly isn't usual for a cat not to jump. It keeps him off the counters, though

Funny Buddy story: Buddy still views each meal as his last so he follows me to the kitchen and escorts me back to his cage to eat. This morning I took him his breakfast and left him there. A couple of minutes later he was back in the kitchen, looking at me and meowing. He followed me into the bedroom. I couldn't figure out why he wasn't eating so I followed him back to his cage. Asa was eating his food! He was too polite to request him to leave. I removed Asa to his own bowl and Buddy settled down to eat. Poor guy. He is learning to play and he and Asa chase each other now. So cute. Becky

Lil Buddy was in my bed when I went to make it this morning so, needless to say, the bed didn't get made today. I took his picture to show you his wound. It is way smaller than it used to be. It is shrinking very slowly now, less than 0.5 cm smaller each week. If it stops shrinking all together then the vet will excise that area and surgically close it because it is small enough to do that now. Becky
