I've got a 100 lb dog & a 50 lb dog. They don't sleep on the bed much because they prefer to sleep on me on the bed, not just on the bed!
Thats about how Wickett sleep on me too. Frankie usually doesn't bother but if she does she lays on my torso... doesn't matter which side... and say she's on my chest and I roll onto my side... she hangs on for dear life then settles in on my other side! Wickett curls up between my legs when I lay down on my back but I can't sleep that way so when I roll to my side (providing Frankie isn't in bed) he'll then sit in front of me and flop over my side. I'd make a diagram but I'm not sure I can.Originally Posted by Trouts mom
Feel free to post sketches of how your cat sleeps to make you uncomfortable:
Here is Trout every night:
She sleeps RIGHT in between my legs, which makes it impossible for me to transfer positions when I am sleeping...Keep in mind I am under the blanket, and she in on top of it..so there is no way for me to move my legsSo, I wake up all stiff and sore
Where do your kits sleep?
That is exactly what happens here too. DH, the cats are always on my side with half of the bed empty.Originally Posted by twstychik
ETA: What I LOVE is that we have a king size bed but for some reason everyone wants to be on my side of the bed (Matt included) and touching or laying on me!
Summer has been described as a Tortie, but I believe her proper description is torbie, since she has stripes. She also likes to sleep where Trout does. Chevy usually sleeps by my back, no matter which way I'm facing. I don't want to disturb Summer (who usually finds her place first) or crush Chevy, so I stay put. Sometimes Summer likes to sleep on Scott's torso too.Originally Posted by Trouts mom

I call that position "asleep in the valley of the legs"Originally Posted by Trouts mom

Ohh it is a different picture every night in our bed! Chessy usually takes the bottom near my feet and Emily usually takes the bottom near DH's feet, but sometimes they switch or one of them decides not to sleep with us. Mia doesn't sleep on the bed but when she wants me to get up she will repeatedly fall over on top of or right next to my face.
Ping sleeps like that sometimes and then gets mad when I move. Sometimes he is snug against my bum gets mad when I move. Plastered against my leg. One time he went to sleep on hubby's hip. He dug his claws in everytime hubby moved in an attempt to stay in that spot. One time I woke up plastered against our head board (face towards the board) because Ping was in my spot.Originally Posted by Trouts mom

I get off easy since Molly & Lucky prefer to lay on DH. The few occasions they sleep with me your sketch is how Molly likes to sleep.Originally Posted by Trouts mom
