They seem to be. I tried expressing milk from one of her nipples and got nothing, but the kittens are all latched on...so I'm assuming they're having more success than I did.Originally Posted by mrblanche
Do they seem to be nursing OK?
I was expecting them around the 15th of the month. This was just an estimate from our vet since she showed up on our doorstep pregnant so we have no idea when she conceived.Originally Posted by theallis5
When did you think they were due? It seems like you thought you had a couple of weeks left, is that right? Just wondering, because I was kind of gauging when Pennie is due by others on this board. Did she have all of the typical symptoms before delivery? Sorry to sound nosy, just waiting, myself!!
I haven't even checked! This is my first experience with a cat giving birth, so I'm a little reluctant to pick up the kittens just yet since they are all latched on. Right now Houdini is sleeping, but when she gets up to eat or use the litter box, I will change her bedding and try to sex the kittens. Is it obvious which is a boy and which is a girl at this stage?Originally Posted by Cocoalily
look at those beautiful things!! for them so they grow up to be big strong healthy cats. Any idea on the sexes yet?
Here is a link to help you determine gender... it can be really difficult, especially the first few weeks of their lives.Originally Posted by Rotobay
