hello new friends.
I'm Rose Rivers, I live on the Isle of Wight, just off the south coast of England, in a very long - full of hiding places - two storey flat with two manic cats. One's a Burmese, the other is a 'domestic cat' according to the vet. They're house cats of necessity, Burmese need the protection, the 'domestic cat' got himself injured five times in 3 months...the worst being a terrible fight he had with either a bigger cat or an urban fox. The vet wasn't sure but he needed a lot of patching up...
These are rescue cats, we're their fourth home. Fortunately they've settled in well but my questions may well be about keeping house cats happy and content. We do the whole 'growing grass, lots of amusement with boxes and towers, toys of all kinds and a balanced diet' thing, which includes us sharing beds with them, of course but we can always do better if there is better to do for them. (My daughter shares the cats as well as the home.)
The rest of the time I share responsibility for a second hand shop, a very good one, I am a writer and editor, and a spiritualist, so there is always something to occupy my hours, along with and including cats.
I feel very much like the new cat on the block but am sure that you are the most wonderful bunch imaginable, you have to be, you're all cat lovers!!
