I think Pixie was really cute! She looks very small and dainty like a pixie. Or you could do a search for gaelic (sp?) names/words. They are usually very unique and pretty.

Okay, I searched the site for some Elvish names I've suggested before, and several seem like they would fit her. Here they are:

Telella - means little elf (just thought it was cute, you could call her Telly)
Tarien - princess (sorta like a above, you could call her Tari)
Mela - love
Lalaith - laughter

Ok, how about this for her name... (there is a story)

I picked up the kitty on my sat afternoon trip to walmart. Later that evening, my BF and I were at Chili's eating dinner and I needed to go back to walmart to get some Kitten Formula, a flea comb and a bell. On my way home, I got pulled over for making a (alleged) illegal left hand turn. I pulled OUT of the driveway that said NO LEFT TURN, and went on to the second driveway that was not marked NO LEFT TURN. EVIDENTLY, it's illegal to do that?? We are going to fight it in court. BUT that isn't the kicker....

...I get arrested for driving with a suspended license!!! I had NO idea my license was suspended, there was NO reason it should be! I was beside myself.

I recently moved to Texas and had just changed over my title and registration. My DL was still Virginia...evidently VA did a check at some point, saw that I was still, SUPPOSEDLY, registered in VA but was not insured in VA.

When they couldn't get a hold of me, they suspended my license. ARGG!!

It was HORRIBLE. 3 days in JAIL! I am a very good girl! Never been in trouble in my life!! My bf worked day and night to get me out of there all the while trying to find out why I was in there in the first place!! He was such a gem.

So, in my mind, because of the cat and the state of Virginia, I was incarcerated for 3 days. lol

I think I should name her Virginia. Call her Ginny for short! lol

What do you think about that?

I like Virginia -- Ginny for short.

Very cute! And I don't think there's another cat on TCS named Ginny.

She's such a sweetie!
I would guess that she'll turn out to be short-haired - Sherm's hair is probably only medium length and when he was that small he was a ball of fuzz. I STINK of coming up with names, but I did like the Gaelic ones... Ginny is cute, but do you really want to remember three days of jail everytime you call her??

As far as remembering the 3 days of jail time, I can actually laugh about it now. Yes, I still have to deal with the lawyer and court, but seriously! Me, in jail? It's just rediculous!

But I will think about that too. Sigh. this kitten is never going to get a name!!!

Virginia has a nice old fashioned sound to it. And she does look like a Ginny.

to having no jail time.

I have an aunt named Virginia, and we call her Ginger. That kind of fits your baby, with her orange and gray. Or she looks a lot like my dd's best friend's kitty named Pastel. Again, with the color theme, but a little more original than Callie the Calico! And Pastel sounds cute with Polly, and will save you from telling the story of being in jail when you explain her name.

I can just see, in a few years, you will have kids, and their friends will be telling their parents about the kitty named Ginny, because you were in jail! Then again, that could be funny!

How horrible to be in jail THREE DAYS! Glad you got sprung!

Ooh I like Akila, or Mikayla (you could call her Kayla for short). I do like Casey, but you'd have to spell it C-A-S-E-Y cause I've got a little pooper named K-C.

I just read Molly's catster page and found out that your mother is allergic to kitties.

I am too, preatty severly. I had a really hard time adjusting to Polly when we first got her, but I got on good allergy meds for a few weeks and haven't needed them since.

I bathed Polly once a week, from when she was a tiny kitten. It is a blue shampoo from petsmart, and it smells like babypowder. Until we got the new kitten, I had hardly ANY allergic reaction to Polly as of late. I would bathe her MAYBE once a month as she got older and my allergies subsided.

The new kitten and Polly are going to go back on a bi-weekly bath schedual again, as I became slightly allergic when the new kitten was brought in the house. I am confident that this allergic reaction will subside just like it did with Polly.

My suggestion for you, is to get these kitties used to baths as they are young. It's tough, and you might want to wear gloves, or at least trim their nails before. But the more baths they get, the more they get used to it. Polly just sits in the sink now and lets me use the sprayer on her. She is a champ!

If your mom starts having really bad reactions, suggest that she go see her doctor and get on something perscription. Or even something Over the Counter and non-drowsy.

I hope this helps and you guys don't have any problems!!! Cats are WONDERFUL!

Thanks for the tips.
We're definitely looking in to some good prescription allergy meds. Good luck with your kitties!
