SCORE! ding! ding! ding!! Man, I gotta find some difficult books for you guys...
After I posted it, I sat down and read for about an hour, burning through several chapters... the goblings were defeated!! I love the duck familiar... he's half demon, white, and talks... I kind of imagine him with Gilbert Gottfried's voice... it works sooo well when he speaks.

Ummm, ok, I'm reading the fourth book in a series that features Scotland, and an unusual romance between the protagonists. Actually right now I believe the action has moved to America.
