We did not have a honeymoon.

No honeymoons. That would require getting married again.

How many scratching posts do you have?

Depends on how you define "scratching post." If you mean something used by the cats only, I have four, including a shelter thingy that the cats scratch. I got all of them as salvage, and I guess (know!) it shows. The cats love them all.

If you mean things also used by people, add a La-Z-Boy recliner (tweed fabric), a low-slung sofa, a corner of the box spring to my mattress, and a cardboard box containing a big roll of bubble wrap. The cats also love them all.

How many motor vehicles have you owned over your lifetime?

7 MOTOR VEHICLES: 2 in England, 1 in USA, 2 in France (also used in South Africa and Australia, 2 in Uruguay. Not so many if you consider that I was born in 1926.

Do you remember how you learnt  or realized that Father Christmas was not real?

I think I was about 7 or 8 when my older brothers went into the attic and showed us the gifts that were hidden.

Santa (Father Christmas) is very real. He is alive and well in all of us who give gifts to someone we love in his name.

Do you believe that angels are real?

Not the supernatural kind.  I do believe there are angels on earth whose acts of compassion and kindness earn them the title.

Have you ever started thinking of someone right before they call you?

Yes. Many times.

Have you ever tried a food that normally would be out of your "comfort zone"?

Yes.

Ever seen the show Bloodline? It's pretty good - set in the Florida keys.

Never did any ice skating but as a youngster I used to roller skate participating in competitions as a member of a skating club.

Have you ever practised rowing?

Yes on a lake but I was only a "passenger".

Have you ever played truant as a young scholar?
Oops a little late . . .

Oh yes. A day off never killed anyone. After all professors get sabbaticals!

Have you ever been asked to teach a course or a class?

No.

Have you ever camped out in a tent?
Yes in Botswana in plein jungle. I was scared stiff one night when we heard a lion roar.

Did you ever get punished as a youngster for taking the keys of the house without permission?

No.

Did you ever get punished as a kid for doing something you didn't do?  (I did and I'm still holding a grudge.)
