She may be in labor again and wanting comfort.  Most of the mama cats want their favorite people with them when they deliver.  Keep us updated.  Hoping for good news.

It certainly sounds like she has at least one more kitten to deliver.

She is acting just like yesterday, heavy breathing fast then slow.
Eating and drinking little bits at a time.
But today I don't see blood, yesterday there was much more actual red blood.

She sounds like she is trying to labor again. She's not in distress though, right?

No she is not in distress.
She is just laying on her side now about asleep.
It seems like yesterday a few hpurs before the first was birthed.
No bleeding or anything.

Just to relate, Claire had 8 hours between her first kitten and the second, then another 2 hours until the stillborn. I pray she does alright and if there is another or two they are born alive.

We had some more blood. But no further progress.
She seems okay right now.

The only way to know for sure what is going on would be an x-ray at an emergency vet. Otherwise it's just wait and see as long as she is not in distress.

Any luck finding orphans for her to nurse?

I have contacted quite a few places and no luck so far.
I will call the vet tomorrow if she keeps acting up.
Otherwise I continue my search for orphans.

Poor gal. They can experience after pains and discharge after birthing kittens.

The vet may know of someone with orphans or a mother cat who can't or won't nurse her kittens as well.

I hope she is ok.

I may have 4 orphans coming tonight, born about 4 hours ago.
KitKat is doing well health wise. She is just depressed. Her teats are full and she looks sad.
I will update if and when they get here.
I just hope she takes to them.

She will take to them! Oh, I pray you get the orphans!

What time do you expect them?

She will feel better emotionally and physically once she begins nursing and caring for the kittens.

We have four orphans. A couple found them in the garage.
So far they are all nursing and KitKat is very happy. She has got them to use the bathroom already! She is purring nonstop. Something beautiful came from something sad.

That's so amazing!! I'm sad about the litter she lost but these orphans are very lucky!! How sweet! Can you post some pics of them and her when you get a chance?
