KitKat broke in the spare room and took the babies.
She brought me two of the older ones.
The one laying with me follows me around, sleeps on me and bugged me until I gave her a bottle.
I have been feeding the newborns, but she took them and fed them.
KitKat can open the spare room door. She will not leave the newborns be.
I'm not sure what to do at this point.
She is trying to mother everyone and cries when I take the newborns.
I'm very stressed. :(

Maybe let her take care of the newborns and you feed the older ones? Are they eating any canned kitten food yet?

Sweet little KitKat is trying to be everything to everyone. Such a special girl

She sounds confused. If she will feed the newborn fosters and care for them full-time, there's nothing better than mom's milk. Let her. But you'll have to keep her kittens away for now. She cannot nurse seven kittens, and hers are eating solids now anyway.

But I'm confused who got a bottle - one of the older kittens?

I made a bottle for the newborn, but yes the older one ended up drinking it while KitKat nursed the newborns.
I do have the older ones with me.
I think she is confused as well. I really didn't know they were as little as they are.
She said newborn while in route to me 5 minutes from my house.
I think it will all work out.
The older ones eat mush and nurse way less than even a couple days ago.
They get Kmr in the mush and apparently from bottles. Also a dish I set out.
All the older ones weigh well over 1 pound now.

Okay. I think bottles for the older ones are a good idea. They still want to suckle. I would just trade them. Let Kit Kat nurse the new babies and keep the older ones away. You'll just need to wipe them down a little each day if they are not cleaning themselves.

Never a dull moment.  Good news is you won't have to get up every hour to feed the newborns.

I'm actually enjoying all the drama! LOL

This is quite the adventure, she cares for the newborns. She seems a little confused to be honest. Ugh she hissed a little again.
They have each gained 6 grams in 12 hours.
I know that is okay, but I'm so tired and worried.
She keeps trying to give me the big kitties, but then comes back to take them.
My husband has the newborns latched and eating, I'm chasing around four crazy kittens. Who has climbed all the way up both legs in less than 10 seconds.

And they do a great job grooming themselves. Thank god. LOL

This is why I suggested that you separate the older kittens from mom and the new kittens. You may literally need to put them in separate rooms.

She wants you to watch the older kittens while she takes care of the younger ones.  So cute!

Sweetlynn86 uses a portable play pen for the younger kittens.  She has pictures of it in her post.  There is a small scratching post inside so they have something to climb on.

Someone else, and I can't remember who, posted a picture of a pen they made of cardboard to contain the kittens.

They are, I have them with me in the spare room.
She wants the newborns under my son's bed.
She fed and cleaned the newborns just now. They are cuddled up sleeping finally.
I'm not putting them all together, but she can open the spare room door and has grabbed or switched kittens.
I've now wedged it shut.
I think it's just going to take time.
I have a platform bed that is very low to the floor the big babies are all up here sleeping. Finally.

How did things go today with Kit Kat, newborns, and older kittens? Is it settling down a bit or still too soon?

I feed them, she did nurse them some.
But they didn't gain enough weight.
I found a rescue backed foster to take them so they can be vetted. I think they need fluids.
I fed them 2mls every 1.5 hours since Friday and in two days they only gained 7 grams each.
Total.
This foster has the ability to have them checked by a newborn specialty place.
I'm sad it didn't work out, but I did everything I could do for them here.
I'm confused as to why they didn't gain.
I didn't miss a feeding, and even if they nursed I still gave them kmr.

I think you made a wise decision, as hard as it was. I do believe the newborns would have started gaining more weight soon though. Sometimes they lose a tiny bit in the very beginning. You were doing fine!

Are Kit Kat's kittens back to nursing mom and spending time with her?

KitKat moved them out to the living room lol
She brings them to me and takes them back.
They are nursing, but still lapping kmr and eating the mush.
Or taking baths in the mush :(
I have been feeding and cleaning kittens all day!!
I was worried about those little ones.
I feel that was best they have some medical checks. I just couldn't afford that right now.

We are all back to our crazy normal house.

You did what was best for the kittens.  No one can fault you for that.  I'm glad you found someone qualified to take them.
I would have gladly bottle fed one, but three around the clock was insane.
I have slept about 7 hours this whole weekend. My husband is going out of town for work for a few days and I couldn't have done that alone.
Starting 1.5 hours after feeding, burping and pee and poo, I had about 40 minutes before the next feeding.
I also have a 1 year old on Mondays for 12 hours.
I may have just dropped tomorrow.

It keeps them out of the cords behind the tv stand. Little stinkers are everywhere :)

You did the right thing, no question about it. With your own four children, plus four one-month-old kittens, you would have made yourself sick.

Feeding even one kitten around the clock is a labor of love and extremely exhausting. It would be much easier in a different stage of your life. You really have your plate full right now.

There will always be pregnant cats and kittens to foster down the road, and this litter of newborns will most likely be fine. Will you be able to get an update in a few days?
