Appears to be a good way. I have two that enter mine now as I continue to move the food dish more and more to the back while

the trap door is held open with a strong wire tie until arrangements are made to get them both fixed and the mom is done nursing

the 5, 6 week old kittens I visit to socialize several times a day.  Funny how mom has gotten used to my presence, no longer hisses, lays down and

watches as the kittens are learning to eat & play with toys I bring and she eventually gets up and walks away taking advantage of me, babysitter.

THIS IS BEGINNERS LUCK BIG TIME!!!

Got the mom:

The lady said I should cover the cage with a blanket to calm her down.

She'll come and collect the mommy tomorrow!

Ok...

Last message before I go...

Thanks to all that helped me!

Too many names to thank!

But thank you!

The mother has been spayed... thank goodness she was not pregnant!!!

The three kittens... well they are bigger right now... are going to be neutered this Tuesday!

This lovely lady I met does all these good things for cats!

She even gave me cat food for the kittens!!!

I am so glad there are caring people here in South Africa!

All is well!

BTW, they are all boys...

There names are:

Melchior (Stripy)

Caspar (Grey/White)

Balthazar (Black/White)

Just like the three magi.

And I believe in magic!

Anyways, how can I leave without any pics!

Cheers!

Lots of Love!

I am glad it turned out well and the kittens look so happy in their home! Don't forget us, come back and post some pictures from time to time as they grow. And remember that we are always here to offer any help and advice you may need.

Congratulations, you have done a great job.

Here is a post!

I have to apologize... one is a female!

So this is Oscar:

This one is Stripy:

And this one is Jess... the Lady:

Guess I made a mistake in their genders...

Ahh, but they love me so much!

Well this is a surprise!

The dad has returned!

He seems to be a noble gentleman, showed no signs of aggression except to me when I tried to give it some food.

My mother reckons it is a domesticated Tom and it belongs to someone around the area.

Don't know but he seems well fed to be a feral.

I think I will make some pictures of him and ask the neighbourhood.

I'm starting to get the hand in my dad's business, so I do have a little more free time to play with the guys.

Kittens: "Papa, is that you?"

Papa: "Yes it's me. Have a sniff! My, how you've grown!"

Kittens: "Where the heck have you been?"

Papa: "Oh, you know. I've been with the ladies. Hey, what's with the weird human making the meow sounds? Is he off his rocker?"

Kittens: "Yes, a bit, but he feeds us, so it's all good."

Papa: "So catch me up on all of the latest gossip..."

Kittens: "Ok, but, you know, don't get too close to us. We're grown up now and don't need to be babied."

Papa: "Tell me everything. Has your mama been hanging out with any new toms?"

LOL!

Doubt that the mother is hanging around, she has been spayed... to bad for the dad!

My most humblest apologies, mom is still around, she stays in the other side of the garden... in the shelter I made for her and kittens. I feed her every night before dark... she waits for me... and now meows to me.

It is amazing how we can learn much from nature.... One of the first pets was a spider... Spinny the spider! kept on feeding it bees and flies I found in the swimming poo!

Well I can say both Oscar and Stripy are 90% domesticated, Jess however is very shy and reclusive... but I started to touch her 3 weeks ago!

Her fur Is very soft and lovely!

Will try to make some videos, but cell phone is kinda difficult to make some movies, one regret is the first time when they started to explore my parent's place... my old man is in a wheelchair after having a stroke, Stripy nudged his foot and a smile beamed across my dads face... CLASSIC! I wish I caught it on video!

Oh yes, all three kittens had their shots from my local vet and micro chipped.

Here are some pics:

Just to show my dark sense of humour on why I called my Cat Oscar:

See the white spots near the back...

Oh! I am such a cruel person!

My Oscar is cool, very touchy and friendly, but farts a lot!

Btw, I live in SA and we are fed up with the trail, I hope justice prevails!
