My ex-boyfriends cat Wiley
(heart meant for kitty, not ex) brought home 1/2 a dead bird. He put it in our bed. I woke up to something that felt like dirt on the bed, and then felt something poking my knee! Well the "dirt" was feathers, and the poke came from the bones sticking out of the bird.
