Wow, I have never heard any BSH/BLH having any of those listed problems.
PKD, patellar luxation and hip dysplasia should be listed.
Ragdolls should have HCM in there as they even have their own mutation of it.

Hi,

HCM should be listed in most breeds as it is a frequently found disorder and is also wide spread amongst normal DSH cats.

The Maine Coon gentest rather unfortuenately turned out to be unreliable, as it doesn't seem to be able to predict which cats will develop HCM:

http://www.timaracoon.nl/hcm-test-eng.htm

In other words- cats in a breeding program require an annual echokardiographic examination.

So I'd be a bit carefull with trusting the results of the Ragdoll test just yet

regards,

Christine

PKD is very rare in bengals, not common. The spinal problems mentioned are also rare.

What is a problem is HCM, Luxating Patella and few eye issues.

I've heard "bengal nose" occurs in some lines, but it's not a prominent problem and isn't getting much attention, because it doesn't occur often and is of course not life threatening.
I agree with you but it looks terrible on there noses when it flares up. I think it's something worth of mentioning.
