Literally just got home from the vets. She had an ultrasound, and the vet said she should have them by the weekend. All seemed well and healthy, and jigging about, so more watching and waiting it would seem... panic over!!
Luna has just used her litter tray and has diarrhea... she also growled at me when I went to stroke her and has been digging around in a nest she has shown no interest in previously..
Are these good signs????
It sounds like she may be in early labor. Many cats have diarrhea to clean out their systems in the early stages. If she purrs alot she is soothing herself through contractions later on.
My cat is in what I believe to be early stage labor.. there's a bit of mucus and some vocalising. I noticed this at 7.30pm. By 7.40 she was randomly straining. When do I need to start to panic and take her to a vet. Although she is straining it's very sporadic and not very often..
Like with humans the contractions get closer and closer she wouldn't deliver until they were very close good luck [emoji]128522[/emoji] my little cat took almost 2 hours from mucus ect to baby 1
I may be an overly anxious grandma, but the kittens seem to continuously be speaking, and if luna moves away from them when they are asleep, they wake up squeaking for more feeding!! One is alot smaller than the others, and three kittens seem to be fighting over one nipple. She has six nipples and six kittens. Dour you think she is producing enough milk? I am feeding her thrive dry kibble that is 90% chicken, thrive chicken breast kitten food, and also some kitten formula to support her calcium levels as she's not a big cat. I'm worried she isn't eating enough as she won't leave her nest. Am I doing the right thing? The kittens are three days old.
