I came across a post from someone (local to me) who stated they were going to have to put down their 2 cats (around 9 yrs old I believe)- I guess I'm still unsure of the reason but I told her I would do everything to find them a home. I have 8 indoor already - and from the sounds of it - they need a calmer household than mine. =)
Here is an e-mail she sent me w/ their information. I can work on pictures, etc. I'm sure she'd be willing to ship if that's what it took, as it does sound like she would much rather find them a home (thank goodness).
I personally find it hard to believe a cat can't be introduced to other cats and dogs (children) as well - so I don't know that these cats not doing well around others is necessarily true. It sounds like they've always been restricted to one part of the house- this may be why they act the way they do. Not only that but everyone's 'idea' of 'not getting along' can be completely different. Just like cats when they're first introduced- they fight and hiss like heck but usually w/in a week or two - they're best friends. Some people can't get through that first week therefore think they won't do well at all- which, like I said, we all know is not true.
Here is her e-mail she sent me. She is located in Southern, NH - so anyone in New England, or the option to ship I'm sure would be entertained. Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to read this! =) Like I said, I will also try and get pictures for everyone. They are older but they still could have another 9-10 yrs left to live. Thanks again!

Teshia,
If you could help me find a home for my cats that would be wonderful.
They are really nice cats. I am just afraid that someone will agree to all of the things I tell them these guys need and then they will kick them outside.
Pook: named so because everything "spooks" her, she is 9 years old, very shy and loves to sleep on the pillow next to my daughter's head. she is not up to date on her shots, I just never took her to the vet unless she was sick because she never comes in contact with other animals. She is thin but healthy.Litter box trained.
Baby: was born without the muscle that covers the breastbone so the breastbone protrudes, I can get vet records to verify this condition, being picked up causes her pain so she needs an owner who will wait for her to come, which she surely will do.Baby is up to date on shots as I took her in for another set of chest x-rays not so long ago. She too is litterbox trained. She fears children as they always want to pick her up. Both cats love our 14 month old grandson because he knows to let the cats come to him and he just "touches" them. Baby is a big fatty.
They are both affectionate and love to cuddle. Pook is just afraid of life and Baby is afraid of pain. They have lived with our family since they were old enough to leave their Moms.We have had the dog (Lucki) for 3 years and they are all afraid of each other. Lucki chases Baby and Baby scratches Lucki. We have tried bringing another cat into the family a few times and Baby will not tolerate that, either. They will need an adults only home with no other pet.
Think you could help?
We live in the Peterborough NH area but I would travel a great distance to find them a new home.
Thanks for any help you can give.

The next e-mail she sent:
Thank you so much.
I keep picturing myself with no option but to put them down and you have given me hope.
Yes, feel free to post what I have written I would like a potential new owner to know as much as possible about them.
