I'd welcome advice on what to put on Bea for petfinder.
This is what I currently have:
What can I say about “my girl
Will she & I ever give up waiting for her furr-ever home? Never.
Is she an amazing cat? No doubt about it.
Bea is the victim of a declaw gone wrong. At 15 lbs & 5 years, she was re-declawed, probably one of the most painful things you can ever imagine to go through. There have been many bumps along the road….but I wonâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t give up on her. Not when she needed me the most.
Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d give anything in the world to keep this cat, I love her more than life itself. But the fact of the matter is she isnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t happy here. I would trade some of my own cats for her if I could ever adopt any of them out.
Bea is beautiful. She is a lap cat. She will stand in the sink for her monthly bath. She is good about being combed. She came to me harness & leash trained, so goes outside for walks. (As she is declawed, she must never be allowed outdoors alone) She LIVES for food.
When she wants attention, she paws my leg looking up with the best imitation face of Puss in Books from Shrek Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve ever seen. Can almost bring me to tears, to think this kitty was a stray no one claimed…..that no one now wants.
Bea has been up for adoption since February of 2008. She is OK with most other cats, & is OK with dogs. She will require a special diet for life, but for what she gives back….itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a small price to pay.
All these months, no one wants “my girlâ€. Could she Bea what your home is missing?
Someday, all I can hope for, is someone who has a true love to cats to see what I do in this girl.
I'm thinking I need to change the part about OK with cats to "gets along with some cats. She lives with a kitty who is like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz (lacking a brain)."
I'm considering just writing something about her being "a lost cause. Her ideal home would be without any other animals. That she has some health issues that make her slightly more costly than the "average" cat. She's been bounced through several homes....we're waiting for the purr-fect furr-ever home."
