awww poor bea, i am sorry she is in such pain. I hope things work out for the best at the vets.
I had a cat friend that thought that way - she'd rather the cat be put to sleep then to be declawed. I was never that extreme. I'm totally against declawing but I tell people that if you've tried everything else to train the cat (nail clipping, treehouses, scratching posts, sticky paper, or Soft Paws) and the cat still has a problem and you do declaw it THEN you should be willing to keep the cat the rest of its life no matter what problems it may have in peeing in other places, biting, hiding, etc.Originally Posted by sbw999
thanks for your absolutist positions..if i dont see it your way, i dont care about cats and something is deeply wrong with me...very mature..guess something is wrong with the hundreds of thousands of people that get their cats declawed..i could say you were a little bit on the morbid side of sentimentality with your extreme position on cat declawing...but if I did i would be acting like you, which i dont want to do...pls...chill...and since both my cats are rescues Im sure they prefer the way they are, to having starved or froze to death outside....dont you, or were they better off dead??

You can debate until you are blue in the face....the end result is this thread will be locked. I don't want it locked because it ended up being another pointless declawing debate.

This is about Bea. She begs you not to declaw. She's also in need of ...she's going to be in a lot of pain for a while now. Just think of her, OK?
