73% Dixie. Your neck must be a just little rosy!

I live in Illinois now, but I was born and learned to talk in Alabama, then moved to Dayton, Ohio for a year, then Louisville, KY for two years, then a podunk town in very southern Indiana (right along the Ohio river) until college. Southern Indiana, at least that far south, is more southern than midwest.

And have you ever noticed that southern women call ever one hun, baby, sugar, and such things as that and that if you someone says something you don't like and you can't think of anything better to say then you say something to the effect well bless your heart.
And you hollar get at people and kids and whatever else is getting on your nerves. And you have all kinds of weird sounds. Most of which I can't type cause they ain't real words.

I do that all the time. I'm always saying words like "hunny, sugar, sweetie, sweetheart, sugar, love, little love, baby....things like that"
. I definitely do the "bless your heart" thing too
....what can I say, i'm a southern belle

I've probably scared more that one TCS member before saying "sweetie or hun" stuff like that- it's just a friendly, affectionate term for me that I use all the time. Must be a southern thing?

LOL I have been known to scare a few people before too. What's funny is when you are out on a first date and you do it without realizing it because its just the way you talk.

I call strangers Sweetie and Baby all the time. If I know someone even a little I call them hun. I remember the first time I met John he accidently hit me with his shirt and I said oh thats ok Baby. His face was so funny.
