The little baby's legs are hanging out!

Yup!!! I have to go out in about 30 minutes!! or less.. this baby better be happening fast!! I had to plug in my lap top.. watching since I woke up!!

baby is about 1/3 out now, but she just turned away from the camera.

The next big question, is it a boy or girl. I read that it will be awhile before they know. They are going to leave mother and baby alone for awhile

Instead of having the Toys R Us logo on the YouTube page, there is now a clear version of Babies R Us.. It is supposed to turn either pink or blue once they know the gender. April is really a good mom. I keep feeling bad when the baby falls down, but it just needs to get stronger!

The baby is getting around much better now. I have read a couple of places that the calf is a boy but the sign on the live cam is still white so I don't know if that is true or not. I had read it will be a while because they would leave them alone for while. Maybe someone got just the right view from outside of the enclosure.

Yes, that's Oliver, the dad. Earlier I saw him nuzzling with his son (?) It was pretty sweet!

They announced that the baby is a Boy. They are now having a naming contest. The Video cam is still up and running live feed. I just love to sit and watch April, the Baby, and Oliver... It is mesmerizing, and relaxing.

The baby is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 129 lbs. He is so cute. The Vet examined him. The baby was so calm when they picked him up to weigh him; and he still stayed in that position for a while after they put him down and his momma was allowed back into the pen. Momma April was pacing back and forth ~~ so anxious when they were examining baby. They had to isolate April in the next pen because she was very bad with the Vet, yesterday... protective mother...good mother...

I think I just read on the Daily Mail site that momma kicked her keeper when he brought in food. She was nervous around her baby.

April did try to kick the Vet when he tried to examine the baby.
I just got a notification that the web cam will be shut down very soon, due to the excessive amount of time it takes with all the messages..
They are trying to get the rest of the park ready for opening day; meaning animals, new houses for them and all the rest of the stuff.

I will miss watching this 'Little One" grow, but it has to end sometime..

I guess April had a bit of a limp this morning, and the messages went off the wall with people commenting on it...

Wow, she finally had that baby! I was starting to thing it was just colic.

Where is the baby? I don't see it in the pen right now.

Yes, the webcam is going down this week; anywhere from Wed-Saturday...sigh.. I will miss watching this little one and his family...but the weather is getting warmer, so they will not be confined to the indoor enclosure. They will be out, enjoying the sun and air!!

I hope we get some periodic updates from them...

Where is the baby? I don't see it in the pen right now.

The baby sleeps off camera, in the lower right hand corner. That seems to be his 'nest'....

They will be doing their daily weight check at about 8:45am this morning.

He's really cute! The reason for them taking down the camera is so they can focus on opening the park and focus on the animals. He also won't be staying there when he turns a year due to safety concerns.
