A year ago I doubted we would make it due to his illness. On Thursday, May 5, we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary. Celebrated quietly with a nice dinner of homemade lasagna, cucumber- dill salads and apple pie. Our gift to one another is replacing our front door and the porch posts.

Congratulations on your anniversary. Our 50th is later this year, and our gift to each other is a remodel of our upstairs bathroom.
