hi,
I am new here and I am way over my head.
I found a kitten on my way to school today (in the middle of the road no less, lucky he was small enough and in the middle of the road enough that no car had hit him) and brought it to the vet immediately.
His eyes are open and able to move but legs not fully extended when walking (crawling very fast). His ears are still folded in and seem very healthy overall. The vet agree and determined his age to be about 1 month old. And still nursing.
since this is the first time ever I am hand raising a kitten, I have multiple questions:
1. how do you know when the kitten is hungry (ie: feeding time)
2. Is it normal for him to only drink few drops (2 ml tops) per session
3.how do you know if it poop or pee already (the vet showed me how to help it defecate, by bring soft wet cotton bud back and forth)
