You certainly got lucky! Did she pass the placenta?

I think so. She was eating and licking at some red gooey stuff that was near the kitten when birthed. There was lots or blood, too. The kitten wasn't born with a sac, though he was a little wet and slimey. I was more focused on whether or not he was alive and would get stuck.

Yes, he is! I'm unsure of how much he weighs, for I don't have a scale to weigh him at this very moment. But so far, he's been constantly drinking milk and crawling all over his mum. I suppose he's healthy. Hallie has been doing a great job with her first (and last) kitten. I'm very proud of her.
